Tag - 2010 Ups and Downs

Hellooooooo! Today is the last day for 2010 and I've got something to blog about :D I was tagged by the lovely Elisa to talk about my ups and downs of 2010. She's tagged me many times this year so a big thanks to her :)

So basically I have to list my ups and downs of 2010 and tag others. But since this is my last post for the year, I am tagging ALL of you! I don't want to leave people out and not everyone I tag usually does these so it's for everyone :)

I like to knock out the negatives out first, just like how I prefer to share the bad news before the good news, you know? So yeah, I'm going to share the downs before the ups of 2010. Here it goes *deep breath*

Oh and sorry for the lack of pictures :/ I would have done this as a vlog but you'll see why it would be really uncomfortable for me to talk about some stuff...

DOWNS OF 2010

1. My Grandpa passing away

I didn’t have a blog back when this happen so I didn’t share this news. I tweeted about it and friends supported me and were sorry for my loss which was really comforting. This happened in March 11 2010 and it did take time for it to sink in. He passed away in the early morning and I believe it was a Thursday. I had school and a test on this day, yet I didn’t break the news to anyone at school. I kept it to myself for the day and I did feel that I struggled with my Psychology test. Nonetheless, I didn’t fail it and I remained strong for the whole day. What really got to me the most was that I saw my grandpa the day before his passing. He was very sick and me and my mum visited him after I finished school. I thought he’d still have a few days left to survive so when my mum told me that we were going to go visit him, I actually complained to my mum that I had a test the next day and I needed to study for it. I can't believe I actually opposed the idea of going to visit him. It was like I didn’t want to see him or have my mum see him for the last time, and I wasn’t aware that it would be her last time. You can imagine how horrible I would have felt the next day, after hearing the devastated news. I have a fear of death and this was the first time ever that someone close to me has passed away. It wasn’t the best timing in my opinion. 11th of each month is my anniversary day and now I’m always going to remember it also as the day that my grandpa passed away. A happy yet sad date of the month. Also not that good timing because it was near the start of the year and I was just getting into what it was like being a year 12 student and also, his death was just a few days before his 93rd birthday. His death affected me for a while and I didn’t know how to cope with it, especially because I also had school pressure piled on top of it. I’m just glad that school teachers understood and was able to get extensions and postponed tests for a while. I even cried at school the day after the funeral because it was too emotional. The sympathy from my friends and the hugs from my teachers made me cry even more. I managed to get through it and be okay but I can’t imagine how my mum felt and how she grieved. I still miss him.

2. Being sick

I felt sick a few times this year, probably due to my lack of sleep and poor health. Stressed out of my mind and staying up too late doing assignments or studying for tests. My sleeping pattern was out of whack, especially when the weekends came around. I got a horrible cramp earlier this year which caused me to clutch my stomach in agony. There’s only one thing to blame when I get stomach cramps T_T Sucks to be a girl sometimes! But it was really painful, so painful that I struggled to get up and walk. I could barely get ready for school this day so I stayed home in the morning and went to the doctor. Doctor prescribed me with some pills and after taking them, my stomach cramp went away and I proceeded to going to school, missing out on the morning lesson. I was afraid I was going to experience the excruciating pain of the cramp again during the day but luckily I didn’t and I haven’t since. There have also been other times where I was sick this year but not sick enough to have days off. Minor coughs and flu symptoms, and a blood nose one morning that took forever to stop! Ended up missing school because of it.

3. Feeling down about school + pressure

I am definitely not a straight A student and there were times where I felt so down about my marks. It was hard to handle the pressure and knowing about the impact this year had on my future really worried me. Year 12 overall wasn’t as bad as I had imagined but I did lack motivation at times and hated waking up early each morning for school. There were also times where I felt like giving up but in the end, I never gave up once. I do however have a lot of tips for people who will be completing their final year of school. One of them is – don’t procrastinate! It will bite you in the butt and you’ll feel regret. I had poor organisation skills and I never stuck by my home timetable because I’d either be bored, tired or hungry to complete all my homework. Year 12 is not the only year to achieve everything, you can achieve something the year after and your life doesn’t depend on it.

Okay now that all the downs of 2010 are out of the way, I can talk about all the positive things ^_^

UPS OF 2010

1. Discovering my passion for makeup

I am really glad that I discovered this passion and I want to say a big thank you to the many beauty gurus on YouTube who have inspired me to use makeup =] Oh and also to all the beauty bloggers out there, I am amazed by the talent! I’ve always liked makeup but this time last year, I would have no idea how to apply eyeshadow to create dual tones, how to apply blush correctly or wing out my eyeliner. I’ve learnt so much from the internet and discovering my passion for makeup has definitely been an ‘up’ for me this year. My big makeup achievement was applying my own makeup for my formal and graduation. Earlier this year I was actually thinking of getting someone to do mine for me! So glad I didn’t hehe. I even did a school assignment based on beauty and I did really well for it :)

2. Formal

Formal a.k.a prom was such a memorable night! I loved every moment of it and I was really glad that my boyfriend accompanied me :) He was the only guy on my table because none of my friends brought dates but he was okay with it. It was such a lovely night and everyone looked gorgeous.

3. Getting my Provisional License

I don’t know how the driver’s licensing rules work for other countries but in Australia we have Learner’s permit and P1 and P2. This year in May, a week before I turned 17, I passed my P1 test and now I have a Provisional license, meaning that I no longer need to drive with someone like an instructor or parent. I can drive on my own, but I still haven’t yet! I am yet to drive on my own haha. I had to complete all the driving hours and the lessons and it took me a bit more than 6 months but I was happy to finally finish it all when I was still 16 :D

4. Karaoke for my 17th

This actually was my first birthday celebration with friends. I never had celebrated my birthday with friends before, nor have I ever had a birthday party (I still haven’t had one). It was always with my family. Many of you probably don’t know one of my other passions because I haven’t really shared it on my blog before (maybe once) but it’s my passion for singing. I love to sing and I know I don’t have the best voice or anything but singing makes me happy :) I don’t think I’d ever sing for you guys in a vlog, too shy to at the moment! But yeah, I went to a Korean karaoke place with my friends and it was really fun. I love Korean pop music and even though I don’t know how to speak Korean or understand any of it, I could still sing a long and have a great time x)

5. Blogging 2010

I got back into blogging again in around May 2010 and I must say, it has definitely put a new spin on my life. I had a previous blog but it was a personal blog and was just about me, my life and events with very few pictures and lots and lots of writing. How boring, and I only had a few followers who were my school friends and I would get the odd comment once or twice in a post, but I had more posts with none. I didn’t follow many blogs and it was just so boring. Although back then I kind of did enjoy blogging, the enjoyment back then was nothing near the enjoyment that I get from blogging these days. This year I started a new URL, changed my layout and my purpose for blogging. I was able to discover new blogs and follow them as well as having them follow me, which has always been something that I’ve been very grateful for. Knowing so many of you and making so many lovely blog friends from all different parts of the world – my life would be so different if I wasn’t part of this blogging community. Thank you each and every one of you for making my blogging experience this year so enjoyable!

6. Winning a giveaway

My first few months of blogging this year, I discovered blog giveaways and all sorts of things that I didn't discover before when I had a personal blog. It was great seeing how generous bloggers were with their giveaways so I was curious and decided to enter some. I ended up winning one massive prize from Jahnice who I found out about through her giveaway! Pretty amazing. I was so honoured to win and it was a definite 'up' in 2010. Seeing how generous fellow bloggers were inspired me to start hosting my own giveaways when I reached a milestone of followers. Reaching 100 was such a shock to me because I didn't think it would be possible for me, in jsut a matter of months. I'm still in awe of how many I have now and I thank you all for following and participating in my two previous giveaways!

7. Graduating High School

It felt great to graduate from high school and I loved the graduation night. I love how I no longer need to worry about wearing a school uniform ever again. I managed to pass all of my subjects (having a 50% end of year exam weighting did worry me a lot) and achieve a score that allows me to get into various university courses which I’m interested in :) I know I could have done better but I honestly wouldn’t have wanted to have it any other way. If I had been extremely studious this year then I would know none of you, since I’d be more focused on school and not start a blog lol. It all balanced out and in the end and I should be really proud of what I’ve achieved this year alone, on my blog and in school.

8. Getting a pet kitten

Now that I am on my 3-month holiday break (university won’t be starting until March), I have lots of free time on my hands so I decided to get a pet kitten :) I used to have a ginger and white cat which I had for a few years. He never came home and it’s been about 8 years since. Now I have a black and white kitten named Coco and he’s quite naughty and feisty, but I can’t blame him for being so playful and young with lots of energy. He has the most adorable little meows. I sneeze from time to time because I have a small allergy to him/his fur but that doesn’t stop me from caring for him and being the best kitten owner I can be. I never had allergies with my old cat but maybe since he left, my body got used to not having kitten fur around and stuff happened *shrugs* I dislike sneezing and feeling hayfever-ish after being with Coco but one day I hope he realises that I’ve sacrificed my well-being for him :) He’s too cute to abandon!

So now that I look back, I've had more up than downs in 2010 =] If I had more downs I would be quite depressed lol :/ But yeah, so glad for all the highs of 2010 and a year can't go by without having a few downs because a year can't be 100% perfect. I believe that everything happens for a reason, good or bad. We just accept what we're given. We can't always prevent something from happening.

Let's all be thankful for 2011 - a clean slate for us all! I hope that we all have a great start and enjoy the first day of the year tomorrow. Good luck to everyone with their new year's resolutions! Just know that we can make changes any time of the year, not just at the start :)

Thanks for everything this year guys, especially the amount of support I've gotten on my blog, love you all!

See you on the other side of this year ;D Happy new year's eve today

Boxing Day Sales Haul

Hello, I went shopping yesterday with my mum and relatives for the Boxing Day sales. Here's my little haul on the items that I purchased at the mall in my city's centre which has plenty of shops for everyone. I know Boxing Day is the 26th of December but in my city, the shops didn't officially open until the 28th :| When I went yesterday, it was SO packed!! People everywhere and escalators would constantly be filled. I have never been shopping on Boxing Day right after Christmas so this was something quite new for me. Never had I seen so many people at this mall at one time, it was utter madness. I didn't even go that early but if I was there when the shops opened, I think there would have been lots of pushing, shoving and running xD

Luckily it wasn't like that for me, just numerous lines to the checkout and harder to browse properly because people were everywhere. Shopping with my mum and relatives meant that I couldn't just go into the shops that I wanted to see - I also had to go in ones that they liked (e.g. aunties and mum) didn't interest me, but I wasn't too concerned about that. The Boxing Day sales over here weren't as good as I expected them to be, however I was glad that I could snatch up a few bargains =]

I had nothing to haul about from Christmas (don't really celebrate it) so I've decided to show you what I got after Christmas x] Sooooooooooo, what did I end up getting?

Floral skirt with belt - $9.95 from Temt (RRP $24.95)
I think this skirt is really cute, I love floral patterns and I love how it came with a belt
It was the last one and luckily it was in my size!

Grey frilly dressy/casual singlet - $9.95 from Temt (half price)
It can be both casual and dressy, which is why I like it =]

Light blue denim-style leggings - $6.50 from Suite Boutique (half price)
Not something I'd wear in summer but wait until winter comes - I'll be glad that I bought these leggings :D I like how they're a light blue because I already have a dark blue and a black one of this

Brown Bluebird crossover bag - $14 from Strandbags (RRP $24)
I've been looking for a cheap crossover bag. I was going to get one for $20 last week but I'm really glad that I didn't because I like this one more

I bought a pair of shoes

Grey peep-toe flats - $25 from Mathers (RRP $79.95)

:O This is the biggest saving out of all the items I bought yesterday
It says $49.99 but there was a further 50% off reduction on top of that ^_^

My feet are considerably small, size 6 and a half to 7

These are really comfortable and $25 from $80 is a big difference :-)
My mum wanted me to buy some comfortable walking flats for uni next year, because she reckons I will be walking a lot, which is true I guess

Not a huge fan of feet and pictures of feet but yeah, they fit pretty snug! This picture can be for you Thomas and Chanel :P

What could be in this pretty pink box?

Earrings and necklace set - $5 from Diva

Testing the sparkle in the sun. Quite pretty

I remember seeing these before Christmas and thinking "ooh what a lovely gift these would make". I feel a bit bad for those who did buy this as a Christmas gift because they are now worth less than half the RRP!

That's all I got for myself. It isn't a lot but I'm very happy with what I got and I think I might be going shopping again tomorrow at a different mall to check out the sales there too.

I wore everything together except for the leggings to make an outfit. I could have worn the leggings too but eh, not suitable for summer weather right now. How strange, I didn't realise that I had all of the items from my haul to make a wearable outfit completed with shoes, a bag and accessories.

Who's my photographer? No one, just used the timer on my camera and tripod
If I had someone to take this photo, a strand of hair wouldn't be sticking out because they might be nice enough to point it out or fix it :(

Close-up

Now you can see my shoes

I don't think I'd pair the singlet with the skirt for an outfit to wear out because it covers my belt =/
You can see a bit of my stomach... lol

At the back of the singlet it is just plain. The straps are adjustable

The next pictures remind me of a girl being happy and waiting for her date to arrive xD
I ran out of poses to do so I just did random things
Don't mind my commentary, haha

*smiling to herself*

*checking out the necklace he got for her*

*wandering around while waiting*

*admiring the earrings that he got for her*

(He's here!) *She suddenly becomes shy* :3

Close-up of earrings and necklace. They're simple but I think they're cute :)
I really want to get a second piercing on my lobe

And ARGH again my hair is messy in those pictures. I swear, my hair never falls perfectly no matter what I do. Maybe I should straighten it next time.

Well... here's my excuse for not having nice, un-messy hair...

Hahaha, good enough excuse yes?

I thought it'd be cool to have a picture of me jumping. I look weird but ah well x)

I'll try to post again before the end of the year :) I have a few days left though, eep!

Arranged Sidebar and Other Things

Hello! I'm guessing that by now Christmas is over for everyone hehe. I think Australia is in front so I guess we were the first ones to celebrate Christmas. I really don't think any country can be this behind to have just celebrated Christmas today, but just in case... Merry Christmas!

So I don't know whether you've noticed this or not but I made my sidebar on my blog different. I've added a few new elements, removed some and also made it 'double', by having things side by side. I wanted to have less clutter but by saying that, maybe I have caused more clutter with my dual sidebar. But really, I wanted everything to be seen easily, instead of scrolling down too much.

On my sidebar you may have noticed these new additions :) My Daisypaths and PitaPata! I found these on another blog (I can't remember whose, sorry!) and I thought that they'd be really cute to have on my sidebar. It might not interest you or anything but I like having them there for me so I can keep track of the months, weeks and days since 'blah blah blah' - what ever it may be.

So if you haven't seen them, here they are enlarged!

Daisypath Anniversary tickers

Daisypath Vacation tickers

PitaPata Cat tickers

[Click on them if you want to make your own]

I think these are really cute, don't you :]? There are many other purposes to choose from like how long you've been friends with someone, next time you'll go on holiday, your birthday etc. There are also many designs to choose from and I like how the image moves along the background so you can keep track easier. I'm glad I found out about these tickers because they've really come in handy and now I don't have to try to remember how old my kitten Coco is.

Which reminds me - I still have to upload the videos of Coco playing! Will do some time :) But here's a cute picture of him sleeping on my lap:

He's so cute when he sleeps ^_^ Like a baby
He looks exactly like the cat in the ticker above! Black and white, mostly white and a black tail :D

The newest addition is my makeup-purchasing ban ticker :) I was looking all over Google to try and find something to say 'I have stopped _______ since ______ and it's been _____' but that was too hard. So I decided to use the Daisypath and I found something that could replace it. There's a holidays one where you can figure out how long it's been since you went on vacation. Haha so the little character is a lady holding a trolley bag, obviously to go on vacation x) I've used it as my shopping bag, an empty shopping bag with no cosmetics hehe! So all you guys can know how I'm progressing with this ban and to see how long I can last! The good sign for now is that I'm not tempted to purchase any makeup, even with those mad Boxing Day sales :P

So why did I decide to have a makeup-purchasing ban?

I cleaned out my drawers a few weeks ago and I realised that I've got enough makeup to use. I hardly run out or hit so it shows you how often I use makeup like eyeshadow - only on special occasions, which is about once every 3 months or so.

This is what 'hitting pan' looks like, in case you don't know. It's only happened twice to me...

My heart-shaped bronzer with a mirror. I don't use bronzer the way it's meant to be used because I don't really know how xD I use it to make my concealer/foundation darker if it makes me look too pale. I should learn how to use bronzer properly. I like this one but I can't repurchase because it came from a magazine :|

This is the oldest makeup palette I have. Looks heaps outdated ay, especially because of the colour combos. This is actually my mums and this was my first ever makeup palette that I played with when I was a little girl. I guess it all started from here, my appreciation for makeup and eyeshadows. Brings back so many memories of applying the blush on my face all wrong and wearing too much eyeshadow when I was playing around with it xD I never wore it out so don't worry about me wearing makeup at a young age, I never did!

I hit pan on the brown because it's a lovely neutral colour for my lids and I've used it to contour my nose. It also looks like I've hit pan on the pink blush and lippies but I just cleaned them out. The pink blush cracked and the lippies became so sticky :/ I've already discontinued using this palette because it's so old now. I still keep this in my cupboard though x)

2010 marked the year of my makeup obsession. Not a crazy obsession, just one which led me to spend hundreds of dollars on this year alone :/ My bank account probably hates me now, and I hate it too because it never tops up x) It's been a while since I've made a deposit. But anywho, having this 'ban' makes me feel more in control now and I can spend money which I could have used to purchase makeup to now splurge on shoes (which I need more of). So bye-bye to purchasing makeup for a while (hopefully), I don't want to feel tempted!

Wish me luck and trust me that I won't cheat, because I promise that I won't :D I don't care how cheap makeup will be or if there are any sales while I'm on the ban, buying more doesn't phase me!! Here's a list of things that I'm banning myself from buying, not from using LOL:

- Eyeshadow
- Mascara
- Eyeliner
- Lipsticks
- Makeup remover and wipes
- Lipgloss
- Skincare products (creams, face wash etc.)
- Nail polish (I've included this!)
- Blush
- Concealer
- Lipbalm

Can I have a few exceptions? I think I should, especially because the list above is quite long

+ False eyelashes: They can be quite cheap and I don't have many ^^"
+ Contact lenses: I'm on a sponsor program so I can't exactly get a ban for this
+ Palette other than for eyeshadow: Like a contour palette which I have never owned before. If I see a cheap one or if one is on sale, I might purchase.
+ Brushes: Something that I don't have a lot of and I still want to add a few to my collection
+ Foudation: I only have one bottle and if I run out (which I have before) then I don't have an alternative :/ Tinted moisturiser isn't always enough :P

I've gotten my motivation to not purchase anymore from seeing my drawer with all my makeup and hearing my mum yelling at me for having so much xD Honestly though, I don't have a crazy amount! One day I might show you guys what I have and how I store it all =]

That's all for this post, hope you like the tickers on my sidebar. I would love to see some on your blogs because they're quite interesting and I might discover something new about you. Just remember that I am on a ban from purchasing makeup, not from using. A makeup-using ban wouldn't go so well... maybe only lasting for a few weeks or a few days haha!

Vlog #2 - Merry Christmas!

Hey hey Merry Christmas to you all! Me and my family don't celebrate Christmas to an extent and I've spoken more about it in my vlog :) All I got was money from my parents and the iPod touch from my boyfriend. I ended up getting 1 Christmas card this year, from the lovely MARIE ^^ One is better than none, right? Haha

Vlog #2 - Merry Christmas
I'm going to try and make all of my vlogs under 10 minutes
Sorry about the messy hair and lack of makeup :P

With bloopers again, just for your entertainment :D
This time they aren't as bad or as funny as last time... I think
It seems as though when I make one mistake, it just keeps happening over and over LOL

I forgot to talk about my huge candy cane in my vlog (I kinda forgot that I had it) so I took it out and took pictures with it x)

If only it were edible, tehehe

That's basically how big it is

So, how did I get this huge candy cane??

Back in year 9 (high school), we had Kris Kringles, or some may know it as Secret Santa. I don't want to explain what it is but for this year, we had themes for small gifts to give each other for a few weeks. Like, give the person you have a few hints and stuff :) For one we had to get something that started with the person's name. For example, if I my KK was someone named Britney, I would have to get them something that starts with B, like a bonbon or a book etc.

My name starts with J so I got this huge candy cane because if I turned it upside down, it's a letter J!

It was quite smart of them, but I didn't really like the idea of having to take this huge candy cane home :| And now it really has no use to me because it justs sits behind my cupboard lol. it does amaze me how big it is though, and I used to want a huge candy cane when I was little xD

So that's it! I'll try to blog again or vlog in the next few days but until then, hope you all have a wonderful Christmas celebration! Looking forward to those hauls and posts about your Christmas and what you got ^_^

Review: Cellnique Skincare Products

Hello everyone! Today is Christmas Eve and guess what tomorrow is? :D Christmas! I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas ^_^ I sent out some Christmas cards to some bloggers around Australia and also international bloggers :) I hope you've all received them by now but if not, I hope you do receive yours very soon. I only sent out cards to the addresses that I had.

My family doesn't get too much into the Christmas spirit, instead the day is a perfect opportunity for a family gathering. I still get gifts from parents but other than that, we just have a quiet celebration at home with everyone over. This year my family and extended family decided to have a gathering on Sunday (26th December) instead of Christmas Day due to the hot weather, and Sunday just seems to be a more convenient day for everyone LOL. So tomorrow won't really feel like a day of celebration, instead Sunday will!

Since I'm not so busy right now and tomorrow, I've decided to do a blog post. Thanks to all the comments on my previous post, my vlog. It never used to be something that I would be brave enough to do, especially this time last year when I wasn't part of this friendly blogging community. Thank you all and thanks for giving me the confidence to do another vlog x)

A few weeks ago Selina from Cellnique contacted me to do a review on two skincare products. I agreed to try out some products that would be suitable to my sensitive, dry skin. I was surprised how fast these products got to me, and I didn't expect it to be express international shipping.

These are the items that I was sent:

1. Vital Cellular Repair Emulsion
2. Intensive Hydrating Complex

It was dark when I took these photos. This was the morning that I received the products - at around 8 in the morning! (knock on the door package)

So, what is Cellnique?
Cellnique is The Expert of Problematic Skin. All Cellnique products are formulated with Cx Formulation. Cx Formulation is an advanced in-clinic formulation that combines the power of biological active ingredients, natural plant extracts, antioxidants and a bio-active delivery system, offering the best performance for immediate and visible results for various skin problems. Also, Cellnique does not test on animals.

I was able to choose the products to be sent to me but since this was my first time trying anything from Cellnique, Selina selected and these products which would be suitable for my type of skin. She was very kind and she took into consideration of my skin type.

The packaging definitely looks very professional (especially with the mirror lids) and sturdy plastic. It is also very glassy, quite heavy and expensive-looking. I had a look at the prices on the boxes and oh my, they made me think 'pricey' straight away!

I know that these are in RM but still, wow. I have never tried expensive skincare products before and converting these prices into Aus Dollars will still be pricey for me.

1. Cellnique Vital Cellular Repair Emulsion:

Description: Specially designed to repair damaged cells and promote healing process, this formulation protects all skin types including sensitive skin from environment aggressions and provides relief to dry and dehydrated skin conditions.

Benefits

Repairs damaged cells and promotes healing process
Replenishes moisture and soften skin
Antioxidant and whitening agent
Anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory

Vital Cellular Repair Emulsion Texture
Color: Yellowish white
Scent: Mild characteristic
Texture: Creamy type
Feeling: Refreshing and non-greasy

Here's the list of ingredients and more detailed description

The scent is really hard to describe but all I can really say is that it isn't perfumed and is bearable. This is something that I like because my skin is sensitive and does not always react well when a skincare product is perfumed. The fact that it is fragrance-free makes it less harsh on my skin :)

It has an extremely lightweight texture and is non-oily and non-greasy. It easily smooths onto my face and the yellowish colour seeps into my skin and rubs in very well.

As much as I enjoy applying this onto my face as a moisturiser and because of its scent and texture, it gives me a tingly stinging sensation just after smoothing it on. It kind of feels that it irritates my skin, even though this product has been formulated to minimise the risk of allergy. using the Intensive hydrating Complex (which I will review straight after this) eased the stinging sensation and felt better on my skin. However, I still don't think that this emulsion has done anything positively new for my skin.

My face has always had some light redness and I was hoping that this emulsion would reduce my skin sentiveness (as it claims) and perhaps reduce the red appearance. It didn't seem to do much for my face, except break me out!

I have never broken out form using a skincare product before and the only change that has occurred to my skincare routine is the addition of this emulsion and the Intensive Hydrating Complex. I have been applying this on one side of my face alone without the Intensive Hydrating Complex and so I am quite convinced that this caused me to get a few pimples on my face. I don't usually get pimples or anything (unless it's that time of the month) so I'm not convinced that it has anything to do with my hormones. Okay I think I might be getting off topic...

The only improvement I see is the redness being lighter but is it really worth having breakouts also?? I hope that these pimples don't scar and will go away asap. I don't want anymore either...

I've read other reviews and some have experienced the same thing while others have seen this as an extremely good product. For me, the price doesn't cut it (US $73) and if I had purchased this, I would have regretted it. That's why I always believe that it's good to have samples to try first before you buy. We all have different skin types and we can't just rely on reviews to know what would be suitable.

Don't feel discouraged after reading my review or seeing my pictures. Again, my skin type is likely to be different to yours and this may work out to be perfectly fine for you.

If you are interested, you can purchase and read about it more here.

It's a dropper

I really like the texture of this. Although it says it's 'sticky', it's not an annoying type of sticky like honey. It's quite runny and can smooth easily onto the skin. Again this is very light and can makes a great light moisturiser instead of just a serum :)

The scent is bearable and smells different to the Vital Cellular Repair Emulsion. I think I like this scent a bit more than the emulsion.

I've used this for 3 weeks and this hasn't given me any breakouts. I haven't been able to experience the benefits as of yet but I am still going to use this to try and see some differences. I may need to discontinue using the emulsion so I can have a better experience with this on its own.

I love the dropper and it makes application really easy and non-messy. This retails for US$61 which I of course believe is way too expensive for me, especially because I haven't been able to see the benefits as of yet. I definitely have had a better experience with this than the emulsion.
