University Graduation Day

2014 is proving to be one of the most exciting years of my life. This year I turned 21, got my first car and now I've become a university graduate. On Wednesday the 17th of September, I attended my graduation ceremony and received my parchment in front of fellow graduates, members of the university and guests including my proud parents and beloved boyfriend. I'm very thankful towards those who were able to be there for me on my special day, waiting outside the hall bringing gorgeous flowers and gifts. It was an incredible experience and the memories will stay with me for life.

This doesn't mean the end of my studies though, as I'm currently enrolled in a double/concurrent degree however it does mean the completion of one degree that I had worked hard on for the last 3 years. An accomplishment and achievement which makes it all worth it in the end and you tend to only realise this once you reach that finish line. I know I complain about uni taking up a lot of my time and I still will complain when things get tough because no journey is ever a smooth-sailing journey - it can't be helped. I had my good days and my bad days, good grades and bad grades but with the support from my family, friends, uni lecturers and tutors, I was able to pull through and succeed. If I continue to have this support network and motivation to push on, I will hopefully be completing my second degree and going through this wonderful graduation experience again. I'll find this out in about a year's time!

As a 'beauty, fashion and lifestyle' blogger, I'll be incorporating all of those elements into this blog post, starting with my makeup for the day, outfit of the day and a brief recount of the event :)

I made sure that I wore the longest-lasting products that I had on the day so that everything could stay in place for the whole day, especially for my lips. I always find that many of my lip products aren't very long-lasting (which was why I asked my Twitter followers if anyone could suggest a long-lasting lipstick) and for this reason, I was thinking of purchasing a high-end lip product but decided against it in the end. One day I will spoil myself with a luxe-branded lipstick like Tom Ford - for now I'll stick to what I have and what I can easily afford *crying emoji*

For my lips I lightly applied Benefit's Benetint to give my lips some initial lasting colour and added Max Factor's Colour Elixir Lipstick on top, topping it off with Rimmel's Lipstick Lock which supposedly seals the lip colour. I think this made a very good combination as I didn't need to re-apply any lip products for the entire day! Not bad, hey?

The Max Factor Lipstick reminds of a high-end one with its gold packaging. The formula is great too!
(Also unintentionally promoting the important use of seatbelts with my car selfie~ RIP EunB and RiSe)

I also made sure that my foundation stayed in place as I knew that I was going to be taking lots of pictures and needed to look as flawless as possible. For a lasting finish, a face primer is essential and I used Face of Australia's which has Vitamin E and chamomile, ingredients to help smooth and soothe the skin. The foundation I went with was Rimmel's lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation to give me light to medium coverage and a dewy finish. Trust me, I don't take the wording of products too seriously, especially when they state the number of hours that they claim to last. Anyway, I wanted my face to look alive and awake and since I have dry skin, I wanted to minimise the possibility of flakiness occurring so instead of topping it off with powder which accentuates my dryness, I spritzed some setting spray by Australis to keep it all in place and make me feel refreshed!

Since I opted for bold lips, I went with neutral eyes using the 6 shades on the right of the NP palette, a simple winged eyeliner and my most natural-looking falsies. I filled in my brows very lightly so that my brow game wasn't too strong (haha) and applied waterproof mascara being my favourite, Benefit's They're Real on my top and bottom lashes. I highlighted and contoured the high points of my face and applied a hint of blush to my cheeks.

Products from my recent Sasa haul that I used on the day
  • Dolly Wink Eyelash Fix: holy grail eyelash glue, forever repurchasing.
  • Sailor Moon Eyeliner: wooooo the packaging is awesome and so is the quality, really.
  • Luminous Change Lashes: first time hearing about this brand, quality is just like Dolly Wink's with the clear bands and it's a fraction of its price with an extra pair of lashes - why not!

For my nails I used the front two shades from the OPI Euro Centrale Collection and this set was gifted to me by the lovely Melody on my 21st birthday. Thanks girl, it's definitely come in handy!

Outfit of the Day - Graduation and Academic Attire

Professional photo where they made me pose like this lol

Dress: Forever New
Shoes: New Look
Bracelet: Michael Kors
Earrings: Pandora
Pouch and Bag: Mimco and DKNY

I decided to wear a floral dress to stand out from the black gown and since it's now spring, floral is even more appropriate :) I love that my faculty's hood is a pretty pink because it's my favourite colour, yay. The gown and the hood were hired except for the mortarboard (the hat) which is good so that I can keep it as a souvenir from graduating!

As my graduation was in the morning at 11am, I had to get up early and prepare to be at the hall by 9. If I had more time to prepare without having to rush and be sure to beat the morning traffic, I probably would have curled my hair and add a few finishing touches to my look. I guess I could have woken up even earlier but sleep is even more important to me. I felt so drained by the end of the day and mind you, I did get enough sleep!

My view of the stage from the third row

It was a very exciting process. I thought that we were all going to rehearse the 'walking up on stage' part during the pre-briefing session at 9 but we didn't! So when the time came, we were quietly told of what to do and that was it and in an hour the ceremony came to an end. My uni actually filmed the whole thing and uploaded it on YouTube and you can see me walking up on stage at the 38:00 mark :D Thank goodness I didn't trip over and neither did anyone else despite my high heels, I was super nervous.

I didn't want to make a big deal out of this event so I only notified a few of my close friends who gladly came along and took photos with me. I felt quite spoilt and happy to share this joyous moment with some of the most important people in my life. Thanks to everyone who congratulated me ♥

To celebrate we headed out for a late-ish Yum Cha and I was so full and tired afterwards that I just wanted to crawl into my bed. I couldn't imagine having more to do in the evening, which is likely to happen for my own wedding one day with the ceremony followed by a reception. How do people do it, I have no clue!

Although it was a very happy occasion, I couldn't help but feel a little emotional on the inside. A chapter of my life had came to an end and I could feel myself getting teary in the hall, listening to the speeches about how far we've all come and our achievements, and wishing us the best for our future endeavours. I was also thinking about my parents who were there to witness their not-so-little girl anymore, their youngest child and only daughter all grown up and receiving her Bachelor's Degree. They've always wanted me to study hard and graduate from university (you know how typical Asian parents are) and just thinking about how they were feeling on the day made me want to cry tears of happiness. I always try my best to make my parents proud and I am really glad to say that there is finally something for my parents to be truly proud of.

I love you mum and dad!

You know what's so special about awards/certificates/diplomas/degrees etc? The fact that recipients have been recognised for their hard work and have respectfully earnt it and deserve it. Many things can easily be bought, lost, replaced but with any award or degree, it belongs to you and only you. Your name is written on there and no one can take it away from you, claiming that it belongs to them. No one can take away your wisdom and the skills that you've acquired. It's something that money can't buy.

My questjen to you:

Have you had a graduation and/or are you yet to have one?

I've had a year 7 (primary to secondary school) and a year 12 (end of high school) graduation prior to this graduation but this is by far the biggest one of them all. Fingers crossed that I'll have another!

Good luck to those who are yet to graduate from their studies and to those who already have, big congratulations ^^

I'm back + Tag Q&A

Hiiiii *waves frantically* my exams are complete and my first year of uni is already over! Gosh I can't believe how fast this has gone by, I am so stoked to be on break right now because I will be on holidays for the next 3-4 months straight :D Ah it's really exciting to have this long break again and now that I know how fast those months can go by (had a similar break like this for the first time starting last year), I am bound to make the most of each and everyday. Today marks the first day of being stress-free and exam-less *dances*

It's great to be blogging again after a couple of weeks and you're all probably sick of coming to my page seeing my previous post being the latest post (back in Halloween lol). Now I'll be able to blog more often instead of the usual once a week. Give it time but I reckon I can do twice a week, maybe even three times a week. We shall see!

As I was saying on Twitter today, I usually have exciting news to follow on from a comeback post. Last time I had a hair colour change. Last year I had news about giveaways. This time though..... nothing :( Sadly nothing exciting has happened to me within the last couple of weeks. Studying for exams is definitely not exciting! Of course I am excited about being back and all but what's in it for you guys, hmm? There could potentially be giveaway but only until I reach my next milestone *hint, probably not anytime soon*

Sorry I don't even have an updated picture of myself to post here! Instead I am going to use a picture that I took about a week before my hiatus:

Can you guess who those pretty ladies on my wall are?

The girls with the power of 9 - SNSD aka Girls' Generation! So yeah, I purchased my first ever poster and it happens to be a K-pop poster.... of my favourite K-pop girl group. Everytime I mention them here or on Twitter I feel like a bunch of haters are going to bash on me for liking them and stuff :( I don't know why they are so many antis, these girls are awesome!
And I totally hate myself for not seeing them perform at Sydney's K-pop Music Festival on Saturday night

Oh and you're probably wondering why I'm wearing so much eye makeup. I wasn't going anywhere, just um playing around with my eyeshadow palettes and eyeliner.

iPod camera totally washed out the vibrancy but it was a blue-green gradient
I haven't done makeup looks and tutorials in ages, should I do them again?

Do you like my Hello Kitty cover? I know someone who would. Suzy from the group MissA has the same cover design as me!! I swear I bought mine before knowing that she has the same and before seeing her picture of it here:

Lol! *fangirl moment*

Never have I seen a celebrity with something the same as me, wow. And I purchased my cover on eBay... so does that mean Suzy buys from eBay too? Hahaha, who knows. Again I totally hate myself for not seeing Suzy and MissA in Sydney on Saturday night, fml.

The only exciting thing I could do a blog post on where I lack photos would be tag questions. I've been tagged quite a few times yet I never had the chance to do the tags and answer them! Here are two that I have been tagged in:

This award was given to me by Nancy of Ms Nancy's Fancies!

So for this award/tag I have to list 7 random things about me and answer some questions.

Share seven random things about yourself:

1. I can't stand having overly dry hands. I always need hand cream. If I don't have hand cream with me, I would have the urge to wash my hands just to make them moist, even though they are already clean.

2. My face and skin are better off without the use of cleansers, toners etc. I experimented with this when I didn't use anything for a couple of weeks and my face was baby-skin smooth and clear. It still is.

3. I have forehead wrinkles when I raise my eyebrows. I have noticed this since I was young and had always thought it was normal until my boyfriend pointed it out to me. This is why I believe I should always have a side fringe and never have my forehead showing.

4. I am fascinated by piercings, but only on the ears. I would get conch/tragus/rook piercings but I am too afraid to pierce through cartilage. And you know what? My most viewed post of 3000+ views is my post about my new lobe piercing

5. I would consider getting non-surgical rhinoplasty in the future when I know a certified place in my city to get it done and when I have the money.

6. I want K-pop to be more involved in my life than it already is. If my uni offered Korean classes, I would take them. If I could host a K-pop radio show, I would do it. If I could travel to South Korea, I would go there. But with that said I am by no means, a wannabe. The singers and groups are my idols and I hope to see them in concert one day.

7. I think I have good fashion sense but my wardrobe doesn't fully consist of really pretty pieces because those are always so pricey... and I rarely spend heaps on clothes. Now you know why I rarely do outfit posts and would rather do fashion posts about online shops and their gorgeous designs.

Answer the following questions:

Favourite colour: Pink

Favourite song: At the moment I'm loving 'Cry Cry' by T-ara, both the normal and ballad version. However it feels really bias to say that because I mention those girls so much on my blog :/ But I really do like their latest song, way more than their last few releases! Without seeming bias though, my other favourite song right now is 'Bad' by Tablo feat. Jinsil.

Favourite dessert: No favourite, I like cake/ice creams

What is pissing you off: My fringe which desperately needs a cut. It's long enough to cover my eyes but not long enough to tuck behind my ear. FUUUU so annoying. I'll probably get it cut soon....

When you're upset, you: Listen to music

Your favourite pet: My baby cat Coco

Black or white: White

Biggest fear: Death. I'm scared to lose the ones I love ='[ Next biggest fear would be spiders

Best feature: My non-fussiness. I hardly ever complain and I am always grateful and thankful for all the good in my life (sounds cheesy, I know)

Everyday attitude: Start each day being positive and see where it gets you

What is perfection: Definitely not me

Guilty pleasure: Indulging in sweets and savouries a bit too often :3

Okay now to a q&a that i was recently tagged by Gerry! Thanks lovely ^_^

11 questions tag game

1. What is your full name and how old are you?
My full name is Jennifer (I’ll leave out my surname) and I am 18 and a half years old. I’d be happy to stay 18 for the rest of my life (only bad thing would be the no pay rise ;/).

2. What are your hobbies?
Blogging, watching dramas/music shows, singing, listening to music, makeup lol... yes makeup is a hobby. There's more I think but meh.

3. What's your style like? Who/what inspires you?
I like the chic, elegant look but mostly I’m girly. I love florals, lace and bows. Nothing and no one inspires me.

4. Best fashion/beauty tip?
Mm I’m not much of a fashionista so I’ll give a beauty tip instead – use a lash comb after applying mascara. People get put off by using a mascara that clumps but that problem can easily be fixed with combing your lashes :) Then you'll always have clump-free lashes!

5. One thing that you cannot live without? And I don't mean air, food or your boyfriend!
Haha I would have said all of the above! But since I can’t I’ll say that I can’t live without water. Not only is water essential for well... everything and everyone but I am an absolute ‘water hog’ (I got the name from Tezza, we’re both the same lol). Water bottle is with me everywhere I go. If I don’t have water with me I will feel worried because I hate feeling thirsty. I always have a water bottle in my room and bag. I can't see how people can dislike drinking water, it's so healthy, 0 calories and quenches thirst!

6. Celebrity crush? Why?
Ooh! I haven’t spoken about a celebrity crush in ages *blushes* I think the last time I answered a question like this was back in primary school in those quizzes from those girly magazines like Total Girl xD Even at this age of 18, I’m sort of blushing when I admit that I do have celebrity crush/es. And guess what? They’re all K-pop idols... lol. I’ve had like 3-4 in the past 3 years of being into K-pop lmao, equates to about one a year! Now my top two male biases are Jonghyun from SHINee (I’m still so devastated about missing out on seeing him and the others in Sydney last Saturday... FML) and Donghae from Super Junior, ahaha (glad Suju didn’t come to Australia too last weekend or else I would’ve cried a river). And why you ask? Because I love their personalities as well as their looks. I won’t say more just in case I start fangirling *cough* I’ve tried to start admiring younger, new male idols and groups but some the members turn out to be a couple of years younger than me... and I just can’t have a crush on someone younger than me! Someone who has less life experience than me :S

7. Favorite body feature(s)? Why?
Yes I have to make another K-pop reference. Just want to put it out there that I love Secret and SNSD. Both groups have girls with gorgeous bodies and I like them for different reasons. SNSD as you may know have amazing, slender figures which motivates me to perhaps work out to tone up my body here and there (probably won’t happen but oh well). And Secret make curves look sexy! Honey thighs ftw :D So my favourite body features would be... height and eyes. Height because I reckon I’m average as I have the same amount of taller and shorter friends. My eyes because I like the way they look when I wear eye makeup.

8. If you could be any animal, which animal would you pick and why? It can be a mystical animal.
Not that familiar with mystical animals so I’ll go with an animal that I have at home – a cat of course! They’re so cute, fluffy but can be fierce with their meows (or ‘reows’) and sharp claws and teeth. I love how clean they are always so curious – just like me ^^

9. Most embarrassing/scariest thing that happened to you?
With these things, they are my suppressed memories which I tend to bury and never want to think about ever again. So I’ve probably had a tonne of each but cannot remember them all. Not sure about the 'most' but scary would be when I had tonsilitis. It was the most sick that I had ever been and I was on a drip and needed to visit the hospital for a while.

10. Biggest regret? Please don't say, "I don't regret anything because it made me who I am today".
It would be not going to the K-pop festival........................ nah I wouldn’t really call that a regret since I didn’t choose not to go.... I just wasn’t allowed because I had exams. A more serious regret would be about school. My studious ways have made me feel regretful =/

11. In five words, how would you describe yourself?
Kind, smiley, mature, brave and persistent. I never know what to say for questions like these. I'd prefer someone else to tell me what I'm like!

Done! I know I'm supposed to tag people after but I hate leaving people out and then sometimes the people I tag have already answered so I'll be lazy and a rule breaker by taggine YOU reading this right now. Yes I'm talking to you gorgeous ;P Feel free to do this tag, any of the two I've done above.

I hope you've learnt more about me and that you found it interesting. If there are any specific questions that you'd like me to answer, you can leave them in my Formspring

Apologies again for the lack of pictures. I'll blog again very soon with plenty of pictures, I promise :)

The Versatile Blogger Award

Hey guys :) I was tagged by Mooshi Chui aka Michelle to do this tag and along with this tag she has awarded me with a blog award called 'The Versatile Blogger Award' =] Thanks heaps Michelle!

To accept the Versatile Blogger Award there are some rules to follow:
1. Thank and link back to who gave you the award.
2. Share seven things about yourself.
3. Pass it along to seven blogs you've recently discovered and enjoy.
4. Leave your recipients a note, telling them about the award.

Okay so here are 7 random things about myself which you may or may not know :)

1. I never use concealer
As much of a make-up lover I am, I don't put concealer on my face at all! I have concealer but the shades are way too light for my face =[ I need to find a darker shade of concealer but I haven't had the motivation to do so because I don't have a lot to conceal on my face and my foundation gives me enough coverage. The only thing that my foundation doesn't conceal well are my dark under eye circles. I must find a good concealer!

2. I can't burp
Haha this one is a little weird and no one knows about this except for my family and maybe my boyfriend x] I've never made a loud burp sound before and I can't purposely burp either! I don't know why because my whole family can except for me o_o I think there's something wrong with me and I don't know anyone who also can't burp. Maybe there are people that can't either but just don't share it to the whole world like me! I have felt air come out from my throat but they were only silent burps and they rarely happen. When they do happen I feel slightly more normal xD

3. I like learning languages but I'm too shy to speak all of them
Oh I'm such a wuss when it comes to speaking languages that I've learnt! I'm heaps shy when I talk in Cantonese with my relatives :( I'm okay with my parents because I also freely speak to them in English but with grandparents and older relatives I just feel tongue-tied :/ I think I'm just afraid to make mistakes and have them look at me funny if I say something incorrect -_- I've also learnt to speak Mandarin and Italian but I'm not fluent with either of them. I can hardly understand those languages and I'm slow at piecing sentences together. I only know the basics really well! I want to learn Japanese, Vietnamese and Korean but I know that I will never ever be fluent =[

4. I don't have a nickname
I wish I had a nickname because I'm just plain old Jennifer, Jenny or Jen. Those names are too common and I want to have something more unique but I have no idea. My friends can't even come up with something for me and I'm not creative at all. Maybe I need more suggestions for nicknames... anyone willing to help? If I had a nickname then I'd use it for my blog URL. 'Jly' isn't my nickname, it's just my first initial and my surname haha. I have a very short surname and I decided to use 'jly' because it was my school login username and email. Heaps creative aren't I? I guess it kind of resembles Jennifer Lopez's nickname 'J.Lo' x] I think my only possible nickname is JenJen... but I came up with that back in my TB days x[

5. I used to have a pet cat
I had a pet cat for about 2 years and it ran away after we moved house. I think it might have gotten lost outside because it wasn't familiar with the place. Maybe it didn't come home for other reasons but I don't want to assume the worse. I was upset because I was about 10 when it went missing and I was hoping that it would return within a few days but it never did. And I'll never see it again. I think I'd be sadder if it had to be put down or if I witnessed its death or something so for it to go missing and never to be found was probably the best thing for me at such a young age. Now that school is over for me and I have more spare time, I am thinking of getting a pet kitten =]

6. Even though I hate the smell of nail polish and remover, I still enjoy doing my nails
This is why I'm more interested in beauty products/cosmetics instead of nail polish etc. because of the smell. Cosmetics and beauty products have such lovely scents, have pretty packaging and have very appealing colours (eyeshadow). Nail polish come in many different colours too but the smell of them really gets to me. My nose hates it but despite that, I really like decorating my nails to make them look pretty and I like the fact that the nail art can stay on for a very long time unlike make-up which is only temporary. It would be so good if nail polish and nail polish remover had pleasant scents, but I doubt that that will ever happen since they have so many chemicals in them =/

7. I wish I inherited my mum's tall nose
Beauty means a lot to me and I am super picky about my appearance. Everytime I look in the mirror, there will always be something that I can criticise about. However the one thing that I criticise myself about the most is my nose. My nose bridge is not visible at all, even though I can feel it =[ I hate the shape of it and I don't find it cute at all. A girl once told me that I had a button nose but my nose is way larger than a button :S Maybe it means that it's flat like a button? Haha. I can't help but look at my mum's nose in envy. I would be so grateful if I was born with a nose like hers instead of my dad's. I guess the only way to really 'fix' its appearance is to contour but I really suck at that =/ Or I could use a nose clip but I doubt that its effect would last.

So they are my 7 random facts about me. I hope they were somewhat interesting or something new for you to know.

Now I am going to pass this tag to 7 people who are the latest bloggers that I have discovered. The maximum time of knowing you bloggers is about 6 months because that was when I started this so even though I've known some of these tagged people for a month or less, you're still quite new to me :)

1. Mooshi Michelle - Of course, I have to tag this gorgeous girl back! I love her blog and she's so stylish :D She has great pictures and is something that I can relate to because we've discovered that we actually have quite a lot in common xD She's very sweet and if you haven't checked out her blog yet then I suggest that you do!

2. Pooper (Jen) - She's a Jen too :) I discovered her from Melody as she was the winner of her giveaway. I love her outfits and she's a very nice girl =] She's a very unique blogger and I've never came across a blog that's like hers so it's always great to read her posts and view her lovely pictures :D

3. Min - Min is very kindhearted and I really appreciate her as a blogger. Her posts are interesting to read and she has very trendy outfits that are casual and great for everyday wear. I also discovered her through Melody as she met up with her for her birthday and was able to Skype with her and others ^_^

4. Tam - Tam is such a down-to-earth chic and her blog mainly consists of her life and thoughts which really make me think and connect with what she says x) I rarely come across a blog like hers because she's such a genuine girl. I'm glad that I have gotten to know her as a blogger and she was also part of the Skype session :)

5. Frances - This girl is so adorable :D She's already done this tag but I still tag her because she's a sweetie and I want to let you all know about her. She has a few videos on her blog and they're so cute and funny ;D Her review posts are my favourites because they are really informative and helpful :)

6. Riya - She's a beautiful girl and she always looks great in pictures! Her posts on Asian cosmetics are awesome because I hardly see beauty bloggers purchasing Asian cosmetics and doing reviews on them :] They make me drool haha. Riya is so kind and I recommend that you check out her blog if you haven't already done so :D

7. Jessy - Jessy is the latest blogger I've discovered out of all the bloggers in this tag. I actually found out abaout hers when she followed me and entered my giveaway :) There is something good about having giveaways and this proves it to me. She has many outfit posts and I really think that she is model material ;] She has great style and is one of the nicest bloggers out there!

That's all for this tag :) You're all welcome to state 7 random facts about yourself on your blog because it's a great way of getting to know each other more.

xx Jen

Sweet Friends Award Tag

I've been tagged and recieved this award from
http://mara-x-mara.blogspot.com
Thanks heaps love :D

The rules:
1. Post who gave you this award
2. State 10 things you like
3. Give this award to 10 other bloggers and notify them with a comment

10 things I 'like' - actually I'm going to say 10 things I LOVE because the things I like are the things that I love:

1. Shopping
I love getting new things and Iove it when they are bargains and sales! I love online shopping too, it's so convenient :)

Speaking of shopping, how cool is this gift bag (shopping made me think of shopping bag, then gitt bag) :P I don't know where it came from but I found it randomly in a cupboard at home. If you follow me on Twitter you would have saw it via Twitpic but for those who haven't seen it, here it is:

Pattern inspired by the famous Louis Vuitton monogram :) I love it!

2. Music
I can't describe my passion for music :D I love it so much! Listening to great music makes me happy and I love listening to songs that make me want to sing along or break into some sort of dance routine haha. Right now I am really loving K-pop music.

3. Singing
This is related to the previous. I have loved singing ever since I was little, but not when I was a toddler. It all started with my liking or obsession with Britney Spears and I idolised her like no other! Her catchy tunes and dance moves made me admire her. Every time her music videos were on TV or if her song was on the radio I would sing along or dance to it by copying her moves xD And since I had looked up to her, I wanted to be a singer and sing just like her. Back then she was really pretty and I loved her voice. Now to me Britney is mehh.. but I still love singing for sure :) I can't say that I'm really good at it though!

4. My boyfriend
Of course, I love my boyfriend :) I honestly mean it when I say that I can't live without him. If he's gone I might still be classified as living but a whole chunk of me would be gone forever, never to return. What more can I say, he's the best.

5. Sleeping
Who doesn't love sleeping? It's so good when I've had enough sleep and I love being able to sleep-in. I am not a morning person although I used to be. In the holidays I used to wake up at around 7-8 every morning and my brothers would be like "why are you up so early? It's the holidays, not school" And as I got older I eventually got into the habit of sleeping later and waking up later. Totally not good for me but I can't help it :( When I sleep early it feels like I am missing out on a lot e.g. talking to friends in the evening.

6. Beauty and make-up
Is it okay that I combine these two? They're very similar. I have always been into beauty because of my girlie-ness and I really care about my appearance. Not to an extent where I'm obsessed with my looks but as I am quite a self-conscious girl, I do like to 'enhance' my features with the use of make-up. It's fun experimenting with things and seeing whether certain colours or textures match my face or eyes etc. I don't have a huge collection of beauty products yet but it will grow :)

7. Family
I love my family of course, even though they can get on my nerves or make me angry! It's funny how sometimes we take our family for granted because there is so much going on in our lives and there are people and places that we'd rather see and go. In the end, family will always be there for us no matter what. I really like my cousins because they make family gatherings so much fun and I love how we get along so well. I am very close with two female cousins in particular who are around the same age as me. It's weird how I'm older than them by less than a year but within my friendship group I am one of the youngest!

8. Friends
What to do without my wonderful friends =) They've made school such a better experience and have been so supportive. A lot of my friends are friends that I wish to keep for life. You can never have too many friends hehe.

School friends - Formal 2010! I love this photo

9. Being stress-free
I love the feeling I get after completing exams, a test and completing the last day of school for the year. It's indescribable. It means that I get to have a break and relax from worrying and panicking. Stress-free is best :)

10. Internet
The internet is amazing! So much to do while using the internet. I particularly like downloading things to watch and just surfing the web. I love using the internet as a way of communicating and using it to be informed and updated.
