Kimchi Bambi Pink Lenses from LensVillage

Hiiii! Before I start this post I want to let you know that I will be on a mini hiatus until the end of the month due to exams. I'll only be blogging once this month compared to my usual 4 (one post a week) but I can assure you that in July I will post more than 4 times (that will be my goal).

I received a pair of lenses from LensVillage and they're the Kimchi Bambi Pink lenses. I chose these ones because I like pink lenses... I've had around 4 pairs previously~ and the other reason for choosing these was because they're the design that Japanese gal model Tsubasa Masuwaka wears.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that LensVillage are based in Malaysia and they are an online store which sells coloured contact/circle lenses with over 400 choices! Very impressive. I have heard so much about this company through other blogs, good things of course ^^

Manufacturer : Vassen
Actual Diameter : 15mm
Effect Diameter : 16mm
Base Curve: 8.6
Water Content : 55%
Power Range : 0.00 to -8.50
Life Span : 1 Year

You may remember the pair of Geo Princess Mimi Chocolate Brown lenses that I reviewed last year (and wow my hair was much shorter back then! I like how my hair has growwwwwn) and these have the exact same design despite being manufactured by a different company. I won't be making a comparison.

I hope people don't get freaked out by these lens pictures ehehe sorry ^^"

I actually forgot about how much these lenses don't blend in with my natural eye colour. And yes, I freaked myself out too when I first tried them on haha. These lenses are totally appropriate for gyaru makeup looks and Halloween parties... I wouldn't wear these out on a normal day... heck, not even for an evening event! Creeeeepy with the flash.

In case you were wondering which top and bottom lashes I wore:
Top lashes: Canmake Eyelashes (endorsed/produced by Lena Fuji) No. 03
Bottom lashes: Dolly Wink No. 14 Natural Cute

These lenses are like stickers! I don't think it would matter what my natural eye colour is because the vibrancy of the pink would be the same on light and dark eyes. That's what I think anyway because none of the brown-ness in my eyes show up through the lenses. Definitely not a natural look xD

Do I look like... a monster? (Big Bang reference, teehee)

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen my Twitpic of my attempt to do the eye makeup that Jiyong has in the Monster MV, using these Kimchi Bambi Pink lenses:

I used black eyeshadow and eyeliner for the majority of the look but my iPod camera turned it purple T___T And that's supposed to be red not pink/purple argh!

And mm, his looks a lot better than mine. Moving on...

Glasses with no glass. Can you tell? A test for your eyesight ;]

I found these lenses to be exceptionally comfortable. Most of the time I was wearing them, I couldn't 'feel' them in my eyes. As with all lenses, I wouldn't recommend wearing them for more than 6 hours, especially these ones which are 16mm in diameter (less oxygen for the eyes compared to wearing 14mm lenses). Always carry eye drops for contact lenses to help maintain its moisture!

So then I decided to wear double eyelid tape to make my eyelid crease appear higher and for my eyes to look bigger like gals (gyaru-style). I will never be as pretty as them ;_;

Thank you for reading my post and thanks LensVillage for providing me with these lenses!

I'll leave you with pictures of my haulage from Sa.Sa. They recently had a free shipping offer for orders over US$19, yay! 1. Mine aren't going to be for 2-3 weeks T__T I'm going to dread having to study while the majority of people have finished theirs! Thank you~ hope you went well with yours + the rest to go :D

I will keep those in mind for reviews ^^

Yay that's lovely to hear, thanks :3 It's simple, really! I just use the stickers and stick them directly on top of my natural crease :)

  7. Those lenses have such a unique design and colour! I have one very subtle pink lens but I have been wanting to try out a pinker one since pink is my favourite colour.

If it's not too much trouble, I would love to see a comparison between the Koji clear eyelash fix and the Dolly Wink eyelash fix.

  8. The color of the lens is really pretty, but it's too bad they look so unnatural. They really do look like stickers unfortunately. I think it might be the limbal ring - if they were a little less dark I think these could pass off as being quite natural :(
