Hearing. I would be more depressed if I lost my sight. I would feel that my life is over. I would be so devastated to not be able to listen to music but at least I can still be aware of what is going on around me.

That is really tough. With money I can... you know... shout 'friends' out and it wouldn't matter if they are only using me because I'd have lots of money anyway xD

Fishtail Braids

Hi guys, I'm back with another blog post (I am on a roll!) I've decided to blog as much as I can before I become busy with school work loads again, which will be next week. Joy...

So anyway, this blog will be about fishtail braids. Some of you are probably unaware of what a fishtail braid is. Well, it is really similar to the usual hair plait with 3 strands of hair, except a fishtail braid requires... 2 strands and 2 slimmer strands. Sounds confusing I know. It is much more complicated than a plait and in my opinion, it takes longer.

I have seen pictures in magazines and online media sources of celebrities and models having a fishtail braid in the hair. When I first saw them I knew straight away that they were different to the normal plait and it captured my eyes. I was curious and so with the help of YouTube tutorial videos, I was able to replicate the fishtail braid on my own hair. I didn't know the name of it until I did some research via Google. Google will always be the best online search engine (Y) This is how it looks like...

Watching a tutorial of it made me think, 'wow it looks really hard'. I knew I couldn't have done it on my own hair without testing it out first etc. so I tried braiding it on my hair extension. I must say it was a really good idea because I was able to see whether I was doing it right and braiding in front of me and it would have been better than doing it behind me or on one side of my hair.

I won't be making a tutorial on how to make the fishtail braid (maybe if it's requested) but I can show a tutorial picture. I haven't really perfected the technique and I do still find it quite challenging to do. Also, I won't be uploading the YouTube tutorial video on my blog purely because I haven't gotten permission, however it can be found on YouTube by searching 'fishtail braid'.

My first attempt (the above pictures) were actually done a few months ago, and it was only yesterday that I decided to use my real hair. It was hard at first for my yesterday because I kind of forgot how to do it but then I remembered and it wasn't so bad after all :D

Close up of the first half. My hair is half brown due to regrowth and I didn't want to re-dye my hair. I still can't believe that the D.I.Y hair dye has lasted for more than a year!

I am hoping that the next time I try to do the fishtail braid, I use my whole hair (this was only half!) and also that it starts from the very top of my head. I might post pictures of that if I ever achieve that ^^

All I can say is that the fishtail braid is really nice and props to the person who created it :)

EOS Pure Brown Lenses Review

Hello, I'm back with another circle lens review. I was meant to review these last week with my pink ones but i never got around to it, especially because I had so much to do e.g. study

So now that my exams are over and i have some spare time on my hands, I will be reviewing my EOS Pure Brown lenses which I have only just tried on. They are just like the EOS Max Pure Brown but the only difference is that those are a bit bigger.

I decided to purchase these ones because I wanted to try a brand that I have never tried before. Different brands have different lens styles and possibly thickness. These happen to be the smallest ones from the EOS range that look closest to 'natural'. With my previous lens review, I talked about the diameter variations. These lenses are 14.2mm in diameter, 0.2mm wider than a regular circle lens size. I can definitely tell that they are larger however, I wouldn't say that there is a noticeable size difference when I wear these lenses compared to the 14mm ones. Most of the EOS range are 14.5mm but there is a range called 'flower' which are 14mm. The pattern on the flower series lenses is of course, a flower-shape. I prefer something a little more natural :)

I can see why people say that Geo lenses are not as comfortable as other brands. These ones are really comfortable... and more thin. They were actually a bit harder to put on since they were so thin! When I wear them, it's like I'm not wearing any lenses at all. With Geo lenses, I can sort of feel them in my eyes and it's not uncomfortable but I'd rather not feel anything x) I like these lenses and they do look natural. Not the most natural but I really like the pattern. There are other colours of lenses in this range that have this pattern. There isn't a really bold ring around the lenses but it is quite subtle, so there is a bit of an enlarging effect. The pattern makes them look less plain and it's great how the brown blends in with my natural eye colour :] They are pretty for sure.

My Pink Lenses - Geo Nudy Pink Review

Hello! I am very excited to have my first pair of pink lenses. For those who are not very familiar with circle lenses, pink is in right now and it's pretty much the new craze of circle lens colour choice. I'm not going to talk about circle lenses and how they differ from normal contact lenses, but if you're curious, simply search on Google and type in 'circle lenses'. All the information is there :)

The pink lenses that I ordered are called Geo Nudy Pink which are 14mm in diameter. That is the normal size of circle lenses and there are ones that have a bigger diameter like 14.5mm up to something huge like 16mm o_o I think the biggest I'll go is 14.5mm...

With flash

I like how the pink shows up in pictures and it doesn't make my eyes alien-ish or freaky. Without the flash or in daylight it would definitely look more subtle. I haven't had a chance to wear them in the daytime but when I do, I will take a picture and post it here.

They look very grainy to give that 'nudy' effect and to make my eyes kind of sparkle. There is a dark ring around it which makes the lenses look less natural and it gives that enlarging effect.

They are comfortable however, Geo brand lenses have the reputation of not being as comfortable as other brands of lenses. I have tried one other brand of lenses which i do find just a tad more comfortable.

I would recommend these lenses to anyone who likes the nudy series and also anyone who likes pink :)

♔ Rimmel London Products

Hello :) I will be talking about my recently bought Rimmel London products purchased at Priceline which is one of my favourite stores. Being a ClubCard member for almost 6 years has made me love it even more and I will definitely continue to be a loyal customer. Sounds cheesy right? Agreed.

Anyway, I will be sharing the things that I got today from Priceline. So at the moment they have an offer for people who spend $25 or more on the Rimmel London range to receive a bonus gift valued at over $66. As soon as I found out about this, I knew that I could not miss out on this offer. I liked that the items weren't samples but full-sized products that can be bought. I know it's not as big as those gift packs that Myer offers every now and then but I tend to prefer drugstore brands over the high end products. I have tried high end products before however, I'd rather spend less on make-up which are still really good quality. This is exactly why I don't think I am obsessed :P Drugstore make-up is fine for me :)

NB: Drugstore make-up = brands that can be found in chemists, supermarkets and department stores.

The bag with the following items: Colour Rush Quad Eyeshadow in 001 Smokey Noir, Natural Bronzer in 022 Sun Bronze, Volume Mascara Flash in 001 Black Extreme, Stay Matte Dual Action Concealer in 060 Natural Beige and 60 Seconds Nail Enamel in 800 Blackout.

I could easily spend $25, it was not a problem for me. I ended up purchasing 3 lipsticks. This time last year.. in fact this time last few months ago I was not into lipstick. I was into pretty much every other make-up item besides lipstick and blush. Blush became an interest probably a month before lipstick. Thanks to Priceline for having mid-year sales on such items where it gave the opportunity to try out these products. The outcome for me was great because now I like them, but now I'll be spending more time in the make-up section in shops because I used to not look at blush and lipstick!

These are the three lipsticks that I bought today:

L-R: Nude Delight (700), Pink Blush (006) & Heavenly (082)

They look pretty together like that :) The metallic purple tube is actually darker without the flash. These shades are not similar at all so I guess I went for the day, midday and night colours? When I went to the shop, the ones I wanted at first were all sold out so I will definitely buy them next time or when they go on sale or something :] There's no rush.

Rimmel has 2 types of lipsticks, Moisture Renew (the metallic purple square tube, $13.98AUD) and Lasting Finish (the round dark purple tube, $9.98AUD) It was my first time buying a nude lipstick because I first started off by buying a shade that was similar to my natural lip colour, and so I have now decided to try out a nude look. I also experimented a little by purchasing a pink lipstick (Duplicate of MAC Viva Glam Lady Gaga apparently!) and a lipstick with a purple tinge. I have swatches and also demos of me wearing these lipsticks.

Dodgy text-boxing I know :| I used Paint to do it because I didn't have Photoshop.

As you can see, lipsticks are quite moist. I used to think that lipstick were quite dry with an awful smell. I discovered that Rimmel lipsticks have nice scents. The round lipsticks smell like bubblegum and the square ones smell like vanilla. Rimmel Lipsticks are also cheaper than the other brands of lipsticks.

And now to the products in the gift pack..

I can't review this bronzer because I haven't tried it but it looks good! I have a bronzer that I sometimes use but it was from a magazine so now I have a full-sized one :) yay.


This is the Dual Action Concealer, which means that there is a green concealer in the middle of the yellow concealer.

I've done a swatch of the bronzer and the concealer. The concealer is about 2 shades lighter than my skin colour but if I use it, I could probably add some bronzer to it so it matches my skin tone as close as possible. Cool stuff.

It would've been silly of my to do a nail enamel swatch on my skin so I did it on my thumb nail. Thumbs up for Black nail polish! Not really. Hmm I was planning to get black nail polish a while ago and it never happened. Well now I have black nail polish, but I'll probably use it for decorating my nails instead of using it on its own because I think it's too much for me. I prefer pastel and metallic colours for nails :) This nail enamel does dry fast as it states on the bottle and it is really smooth after applying it.

Last but not least, the mascara..



I own a total of 6 mascaras now! I should do reviews on my mascaras. I should do that for my next blog post perhaps. Anyway, I'll do a demo of this mascara and also a very short review.


I curled my lashes prior to applying mascara. It seems to lengthen well. It can be a bit clumpy but that only happens after about 3 coats. I used an eyelash brush to separate any clumps. The wand is fine but I am very biased towards the comb wand, only because it separates my lashes well and so it minimises clumping. I don't think the mascara is waterproof which is a bit of a let down because I love waterproof mascaras. I will still use this, but not on a rainy day, a day where I might cry or a day where it is humid. I could use this when i go out for a few hours i.e. shopping or going to a friend's place. I wouldn't wear it for the whole day because I would get panda eyes for sure!

I noticed that the majority of the items in the bag are black o_o maybe it's like that so that the gift pack can be likeable to a variety of girls.. because something like pink would seem to only target girlie girls.
