Review: Perfumes from SC Perfume

Hey hey, if you know me well you'd know that I love fragrances and items such as scented candles, diffusers, lotions and more. Recently I had the opportunity to try out some perfumes from SC Perfume, an Australian-based company providing perfumes and body lotions made by the Saigon Cosmetic Company (SCC) who are renowned for winning many awards and collaborating with top French perfume and cosmetic houses.

I received two full-sized perfumes and five samples

Each perfume came with a description card which I found to be quite helpful for my own knowledge and for writing this review. Generally when perfumes are purchased in stores, there are no pamphlets or any information provided about the actual scent broken down into top notes, middle notes and bottom notes. I'd assume that most sales assistants couldn't give you very descriptive information either besides telling you that the perfume smells nice. For a lot of my perfumes, especially the branded ones, I wouldn't know how to describe the scents besides saying whether they're fresh, sweet, fruity, floral or woody.

Mariana No. 18
$14 for 18ml, $2 for 3ml Tester
My first impression of the Mariana No. 18 based on its packaging was that it looked very vintage and chic. I could say the same for the scent as well. The floral/green scent is certainly what stands out the most and it reminds me of a mature, warm and motherly lady. The bergamot and strawberry scents cut through to give a sweet and citrus-y, refreshing scent followed by the warmth of caramel and honey. It's not a bad scent however I prefer something a bit lighter and more youthful/playful. I think my mum might like this one though since it's said to be reminiscent of Angel by Thierry Mugler (which she likes) so I'll pass it onto her :)

Cindy Classy
$24 for 50ml, $2 for 3ml Tester
Just like the name says - classy! The packaging is very vintage and I could tell that this scent was going to be woody based on the colour scheme on the box. I'm not much of a fan of woody scents but this is unlike others because there's a sweet fruity scent to it too! I can definitely smell the peach and jasmine in this and also a hint of  raspberry, or it could just be combination of notes that create this raspberry-like scent. There is also this hit of subtle bitterness reminding me of licorice which I'm assuming comes from the base notes of cedarwood and patchouli. It's exotic, screams 'sophisticated' and I feel that this would be best suited to females in their 30s and 40s.

The following fragrances are 3ml samples which I picked directly from the site, based on their descriptions. I tried to find ones that sounded most like the perfumes hat I currently use i.e. floral, fresh, fruity and fruits/flowers that I'm familiar with. They were all neatly packaged in individual zip-lock bags with their corresponding description card.

Essy Beautiful Dream
$29 for 60ml, $2 for 3ml Tester
The reason why I picked this one was because of its simple description with only fruity notes being the top notes unlike other scents listed with 2-3 top notes which to me can be a little overpowering. It sounded fresh and something that I could see myself liking. This turned out to be true as it was light, crisp, refreshing and easy to wear daily as it wasn't heavy at all. The scent reminds me of a shampoo that I used to use from a brand called Palmolive. I recommend this if you're into sweet, floral scents that are very clean and feminine.

Sabrina Candy Love
$15 for 135ml, $2 for 3ml Tester
I could tell from the bottle's design that it would be sweet, girly scent that would be quite pleasant. This body mist would definitely appeal to female teens and those in their 20s as it is extremely fruity and youthful with a fresh watermelon and rose scent, making it perfect for the warmer weather. It reminds me of my teenage years where I used 'Impulse' body sprays and this scent closely resembles those.

Diana Spring
$25 for 50ml, $2 for 3ml Tester
I picked this one purely because the packaging was floral and pretty. This reminds me so much of the Mariana No. 18 and it turns out that the descriptions are pretty similar. It's mature, classy, elegant with a heavy yet well-balanced caramel and honey scent. A little goes a long way with this warm, woody/musky number.

Fantasy Blue
$14 for 18ml, $2 for 3ml Tester
Here we have another perfume that has a lovely design consists of fruity notes and the first scent that I got from this one was an apple scent. It's everything I want in a perfume - light and refreshing, clean, youthful, floral and feminine. If you're looking for something that simply smells nice without having a muddle of scents thrown together, I would recommend this one for daily use.

Fantasy Pink
$14 for 18ml, $2 for 3ml Tester
I decided to also try the Fantasy Pink which smells sweeter than the Fantasy Blue. I can see myself wearing this one often as it is more floral than fruity and more feminine which better suits me and my personality. Although it's very sweet, it's not to the point where it's sickening, if you get what I mean. It's really pleasant to the nose and it makes me feel refreshed and revitalised. The scent gives off a bit of a romantic vibe too! A real confidence-booster and my favourite one out of them all.

~

All of the fragrances from SC Perfume are really affordable and the uncluttered layout on the site allows you to specifically find the types of perfumes that you're after as they're categorised based on their descriptions. It's great that they have Testers so you can be more at ease when purchasing perfume and to help you decide whether it's the right one for you. I found that shipping was quick and received them in a couple of days, even by road transport. This means that they can only ship within Australia which is unfortunate for my international readers! :(

For anyone who is interested in purchasing from SC Perfume, I have a 30% off coupon that can be used for any full-sized perfumes - simply use questjen at the payment section of the checkout page :) This code can be used multiple times and is valid until the 9th of September 2014. Alternatively there are testers available at just $2 each and you can receive $1 store credit per tester purchased.
My questjen to you:

What are your favourite perfumes?

I'm a fan of the Marc Jacobs range and I also really like Lancome's Miracle which has an amazing lasting power~

My 21st Birthday Gifts ♥

Hello! I am now officially a 'legal' adult all over the world - that's right, I've turned 21! In Australia it's not such a big deal (but then again, it kind of is with all the 21st birthday parties) compared to other countries because the legal age here is 18, however I thought that this would be a great opportunity to have a celebration with friends, seeing as most of them have had or are having their 21st birthday celebration. There are many friends who I don't get to see often due to our daily commitments so these birthday dinners and parties give us a chance to catch up :)

I had 3 birthday celebrations/outings this year - with the boyfriend on the day of my birthday (Thursday), with my girls the day after my birthday, and with my family on the following day. 3 days in a row of celebrating ^^

I took photos on the night with friends and I was thinking of sharing them but for privacy reasons I decided not to. Instead here is one of me with my birthday cake.

Yay!

I'm so glad I decided to do something for my 21st with my friends. About a year ago, I would've said I wasn't going to do anything. If you know me well, you'd know that I'm a very simple girl who doesn't like to over-complicate things and easily gets flustered among a large group of people, haha, which was why I wasn't keen on having a '21st'. It's probably got to do with my introverted-ness and mild social anxiety that made me not want to be the centre of attention for a celebration. I usually celebrate birthdays with my boyfriend/family and that's about it. In the end I decided to invite my closest girl friends with 15 of us on a table for a casual dinner. I don't mind attending events with lots of people, they can be quite fun but if I'm the star of the show, I'd rather be around less people. Anyway, I was happy with how the night turned out and I loved seeing everyone!

Just thought I'd share some of the lovely gifts that I received. Perhaps they'll give you some ideas of what to get for an upcoming 21st (I've got a few coming up). To make things easier, I'll group them by their category:

Electronic devices

I guess I could say that I'm a bit of a tech girl, I love new technology and gadgets. Whether it's a new camera, tablet or music device, these are popular choices for friends who want to chip-in for a valuable gift.

My dad bought me a new phone and this was the first gift I received for my 21st. With my current phone contract expiring in less than two months (Galaxy S2), it's the perfect time to receive a new phone for an upgrade and I'm extremely happy to have gotten latest Galaxy model. I can't wait to start using it!

Jewellery:

Jewellery is the perfect gift for any feminine and elegant female. I adore jewellery, especially classy/dainty pieces like the ones above. Currently I'm obsessing over rose gold and anything that sparkles!

Fragrances:

I see fragrances/body gift packs as quite typical gifts which I have gifted to friends before but haven't done so for a long time, and probably won't again because I personally don't like gifting people fragrances... but that doesn't mean I don't like receiving them - I am a-okay with it, as long as they smell nice :) Luckily the ones I've received do and they're pretty awesome.

Beauty products:

I'm a girly girl, I love all sorts of beauty products and I never feel as though I have enough! They can be so useful and handy. Also, gifted beauty/skincare products give me the opportunity to try new brands/items that have been missing from my collection. If I've used them before or have them already, it never hurts to have backups!

In case you were wondering what the black item is, it's a brush set! This was just what I needed *_*

And they're really good quality too!!

Bags/purses:

A girl can never have too many bags/purses, right? We pretty much need one for all different occasions (casual outings, dinner dates, cocktail parties, you name it) and it's great that we can easily switch between them. I'm definitely going to make use of these bags.

Chocolates:

You can't go wrong with chocolate unless... well, someone is allergic to them. But that's not the case with me and I've got a sweet tooth so I welcome yummy chocolates with open arms! You have every right to indulge in some choccies on your special day, and after your special day :)

The number '21'

These are great for memory's sake, simple as that. On the left is a '21' photo album to store all of this year's happy snaps. With cards, I prefer to receive ones that have an age at the front to help me remember which year it was for, when and if I look through my cards in the future. Having the age/year inside the card is good too :)

I just want to end this post by saying thanks for the well-wishes on my birthday and thanks friends for celebrating with me and for your beautiful gifts - I will cherish each and every one of them! And of course I will always cherish you guys too ;) I feel so blessed, appreciated and loved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Questjen of the week:

Out of the categories above, which is your favourite type of gift?

For me it's definitely jewellery, since they're so versatile!

To any other May babies reading this, happy birth month :D I Can't believe the month is almost over, so quick!

My August Empties

Ah, the first week of September has gone by and over here we've said good bye to winter and hello to spring! I felt that August flew by pretty quickly (as most months do for some reason) and after finishing one product in this month, I was motivated to finish some beauty/skincare products in August that were around three-quarters empty without 'wasting' them or using them excessively. Basically, it was a month where I realised how much stuff I had that were almost empty and sitting in my storage where I could have easily finished them and freed up space. Or samples that I could have used instead of leaving them unused/to expire. August was my month of finishing as many products as I could to allow me to write up an August empties blog post. And now I'm here doing just that!

This is my first time writing an 'empties' blog post which is pretty exciting... and I am proud to say that I was able to finish.... 10 products this month! It's not heaps but it's definitely the most I've ever finished in a year let alone a single month haha. That's because I'm usually going onto a new product after one is just about to run out but never really finishing it. I don't know why I do that... maybe it's got something to do with hoarding?

Yay, all empty

Let's start with the first product I finished in August - a bottle of perfume:

Covet by Sarah Jessica Parker

I think it's rare for anyone to finish a bottle of perfume, especially if the size is 50mL or more. My mum has a pretty big perfume collection (she loves getting new perfume) yet she has never finished a bottle and has only disposed old perfume. I have around 6 full-sized perfume bottles and this was the first one I've finished... and I plan to finish my others before I go and buy more perfume, because I don't really see the need to have so many (though I'll gladly accept them as gifts hehe).

I've had this perfume since 2010 and I used it for school and uni as it has such a light, refreshing and floral scent that's perfect for daily use. I purchased it because it was on sale for about $20 and although I wouldn't say that it's amazing, it was still a joy to use. I'm happy to have finally finished it after 3 years, it's time to say good bye!

Repurchase? Nope, because I like to try new perfumes instead of using the same one. Or unless it's the absolute best, which it isn't.

Keep the packaging? Yeah, why not :) It's a pretty purple bottle with the crystal-like flower lid! Plus it won't take up too much space in my cupboard, no problems.

MeMeMe Flawless Cream Foundation in 03 Honey Lush 30mL

It's supposed to have a lid but it had a crack in it so I chucked it out. I've had this since April last year so it took me about a year and a half to finish this foundation. I didn't use it daily (I don't wear foundation all the time) but this was the foundation that I reached for the most. I received this in a small goodie bag at an ABBM event and I'm glad that I got the chance to try this foundation - it was a good colour match for me and really did give me that 'flawless' look! However by the end of the day my face wasn't left feeling as moisturised as it was at the beginning due to my dry areas being seen again. I guess that's what a cream foundation is - between a liquid and a matte foundation, thus not giving me enough moisture that I need for my dry skin.

It may not look empty in the picture but trust me, it is completely empty:

I ended up sticking a brush into it and scraped off the foundation on the sides!

What I liked about this bottle is that I could unscrew the lid to get every last drop of this foundation without any of it going to waste. I hate bad packaging that leads to wasted product because it makes me feel cheated that I can't easily open it up and use what's remaining! That's how I feel about my Urban Decay Primer Potion... I know there's heaps of product left in it. I'd have to saw-open the tube if I wanted to get more out :(

Repurchase? I don't think I will because I like to try new foundations and I'm still searching for the perfect foundation for me. This isn't perfect but it was good and I was happy that I managed to finish it :)

Keep the packaging? Haha, yep. I've decided to fill it with my other foundation which is in a glass bottle as is poured out (the Revlon Colorstay one). I like the pump mechanism!

The bottled items

These all had roughly a quarter of product left and I was eager to finish one which I've had for 2-3 years and one that had already expired! I know I could've chucked out the one that was expired but it seemed fine to me so I didn't bother.

Maybelline Total Clean Express Eye & Lip Makeup Remover 70mL

If you read my Maybelline NY Haul Post, you would have noticed that I bought a new bottle of this. It's one of my favourite makeup removers and it's so cheap when it goes on sale for half price! I happened to finish this one in August and about a week later there was a 50% off sale so of course I grabbed one - such perfect timing. I think I've had this makeup remover for 6 months or maybe a little more than that, I don't quite remember when I purchased this xD I got through makeup removers pretty quickly I reckon!

Repurchase? Yes! And I already did hehe. I like it a lot.

Keep the packaging? No need :) *chucks it into the bin*

Simple Kind to Eyes Eye Make-up Remover 50mL

This is the makeup remover that I've had for 2-3 years and I think it's the travel size version... I'm not quite sure. The reason for having this product for so long is because it's just not my favourite eye makeup remover or one that I'd use often or at all. It's not like the Maybelline one where it has a dual-phase (two layers) formula and so this very gently removes eye makeup. It's perfect for people with extremely sensitive skin (not me) because it doesn't irritate at all... in fact, it feels just like water.

It removes eyeshadow and it claims to remove 'even waterproof makeup' but I don't think that's true at all... it couldn't remove my eyeliner or mascara. It required a lot of rubbing and in my opinion, I don't think that's suitable for someone with sensitive skin... all that pulling and tugging can't be good for delicate skin, right?

Repurchase? No, but I would recommend it to people with extremely sensitive skin and need something as gentle as water to remove their eye makeup.

Keep the packaging? No thanks, good bye *chucks it in the bin*

Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser 50mL

This was a product I received in one of those monthly beauty boxes and I was happy about it because I had heard such lovely things about Avene but never had the chance to try their products. Their products are perfect for people with sensitive skin like me!

I started using it early last year and unfortunately I was unable to finish it before it expired in November 2012, however I decided to continue using it as there didn't seem to be anything wrong or different with it. It took me a year and a half to finish it and the bottle doesn't actually look see-through when it's all finished - I ended up filling it with water and using it as a diluted cleanser which actually looked like milk :)

It has a thin, creamy consistency and there are no exfoliating beads or anything potentially too rough for delicate skin. I reckon it could even be used on babies - that shows how gentle it is. It left my skin feeling nice and smooth but seeing as my skin's sensitivity is not all that high up, I am better suited to something that gently exfoliates to remove all impurities like dirt, oils, flaky skin and makeup.

Repurchase? I'd consider it in the future but for now I'd like to try other brands and face cleansers that are suitable for sensitive skin.

Keep the packaging? Nope, say hello to the bin!

The squeeze-tube items

Lucas' Papaw Ointment 25g

This is my second tube and it's taken me over a year (maybe two years) to finish this! I only use a tiny bit on my lips daily and I also use my Maybelline Baby Lips which means that I wasn't constantly and consistently using Lucas' Papaw Ointment. I always take this with me when I go travelling because it's multi-purpose as it's used for boils, burns, chafing, cuts, cracked skin, insect bites and more. It's an Australian product and I'm not sure if most people are familiar with it... anyway, it's fermented carica papaya, a fruit.

Repurchase? Yeah, I have no reason to not repurchase it ^^

Keep the packaging? What for? :P Seeya later!

Guinot Nutrizone Lift Nourishing Body Cream with Firming Effect 10mL

This was a sample that I received in the ABC (beauty conference) back in 2011 so I've had this for two years but only used it and finished it in August 2013! It's particularly used for dry areas such as the elbows, heels and the knees. Though I didn't really notice a 'firming effect', it was pleasant to use. I can't describe the scent except by saying that it's fruity but I don't know what type of fruit!

Repurchase? I have a feeling that Guinot products are pretty high-end for skincare products so I may pass for now.

Keep the packaging? Unnecessary, bye!

The one-time-use packet item

La Glace France Q10 acneique Therapy Mask 40mL

This was easily to finish hehe, I purchased a face cream from Sasa and as a freebie they gave me a pack of three of these Q10 acneique therapy masks. I don't have acne-prone skin but I decided to try this out anyway. After the 20 minutes of use that it suggested, I could feel my skin starting to become a little irritated so I washed my face right afterwards. In the end, this mask did nothing good for me... what a shame!

Repurchase? Good thing that I didn't purchase it in the first place... no good for my sensitive non-acne-prone skin! But for those do have acne-prone skin, maybe give this a try? I have the La Glace toner and face cream and they're pretty good :)

I've got two left... if anyone wants one or both, let me know 'cause I have no use for them!

Keep the packaging? Uh no!

Skinvitals Eye Brighten Anti-Dark Circles Brightening Invigorating Cloth Eye Treatment Mask

The lovely Mandy sent this to me along with a whole stack of other goodies as a care package and I decided to give this anti-dark circles eye treatment mask a try. I never expect much from eye creams/masks claiming to be anti-dark circles/under eye bags because I don't think it's that easy to make them disappear for good. For me it depends on the amount of sleep I get, my diet and how well I remove my eye makeup hehe (panda eyes anyone?) It left a very cool, soothing sensation and I enjoyed using it :)

Repurchase? Likely to purchase this if I see it in the shops. It may not do a lot but I like how it feels on my under eye area.

Keep the packaging? Maybe just so that I remember the name of this mask... so yes I probably will!

Coles Make-up Removal Pads 80 Pack

I think this is a product that I use more than makeup remover or any other product that I own xD I always stock up on these when they're on sale and although Coles is already a 'cheaper than competitors' brands' brand, some of their stuff is better than their competitor brands! If you didn't know, Coles is an Australian supermarket and they have their own brand where their items are noticeably cheaper than other brands and have a 100% satisfied 100% money back guarantee.

These makeup removal pads were good and I can't remember the price but they're definitely cheaper than the more well-known brands that produce these. I found these better than the Swisspers ones because those ones had cotton wedged between the pad and when I removed my makeup with them, the cotton would come through and stick to my lashes! It was really annoying and the cotton would irritate my eyes. However these Coles ones didn't do that and were perfectly fine for removing makeup.

Repurchase? Yep!

Keep the packaging? Haha no, I'm not that much of a hoarder :P

That's all of my August empties and my thoughts on each product. I really enjoyed writing this post and I hope it was enjoyable to read. Perhaps it's inspired you to finish off some products that you've had for years and/or are close to empty, or to start using products that you've had hidden in your drawers!

Questjen of the week:

What was the last product that you finished?

And no, I'm not talking about food or drink! Must be beauty/skincare-related!

Updates + OOTD

Hello! I've jumped back on the blogwagon :) Haha, anyway I haven't been able to read blog updates because my internet has been so slow for the past 5 days. In Australia, we get capped internet which means that when we reach a certain amount of downloads (GB) for the month, the net becomes really slow! Nothing loads or it all takes ages to load which is so frustrating :( I hope Australia can be a little more like the US or other places in the world that don't have capped internet! I'd love to know, do you have unlimited internet?

So how are we all? I hope you're well. This post will just be an update of what I've been up to in the past couple of weeks. Not much though because I've been going to school.

Thanks for all the wonderful feedback from my last post :) I'll definitely have another FOTD and OOTD on my blog.

Last week I went to David Jones to collect my free sample of the Esteè Lauder Pleasures Bloom Eau De Parfum. I was sent this voucher by email from Marie Claire (Magazine):

To my Australian readers, sorry if it's not big enough for to print out and use. But if it is, feel free to use it ^__^ However you can email if you'd like the proper-sized one.

David Jones is an department store but has a lot of high-end brands. The lady that served me was really nice, and I mean really nice. She had a smile on her face and she happily took a sample from the drawer and handed it to me. She said "enjoy using this" instead of something typical like "here you go, see ya later".

For me it's not an addictive scent but I like it and would use it :] The scent is not overpowering and is suitable for young women. It smells very floral!

Have you tried this Esteè Lauder perfume or any other from Esteè Lauder? What did you think of it?

Something also perfume-related was when I was looking for my friend's birthday present (the 18th I went to last week). I went in Myer (another department store like David Jones) to look for perfume and ladies there approached me and ask whether I'd like to have a sprayed sample of it on a card. That day I collected so many different ones! I put them all in my wallet to make it smell nice inside hehe.

One lady had the Fan di Fendi perfume but instead of just giving me a sprayed card, she also gave me a wristband of the perfume sprayed on it at least 5 times! The perfume is still quite strong haha

I don't know if I'd wear this out in public but it's cool

I've also been to Morning Glory a few times in the past few weeks and these are some things that I bought:

Rose mirror :) I've never had a mirror with a handle on it. It's so cute and it's great for applying eye make-up

Pig Rabbit!! You might think it's a little weird but it's the replica of the Pig Rabbit in the Korean drama 'You're Beautiful'

What it symbolises in the drama is really cute ^_^
If you're into K-dramas, this is one to watch

Morning Glory also have these keyrings of Asian meat and food
Only the buns made me hungry. The meat has too much fat on them =__=
The bento boxes and the soup bowls were cute

And now to the next thing in this post, my OOTD :)

Yesterday was my last day of term 3 which means that after my two weeks of holidays, I'll only have TWO WEEKS OF SCHOOL LEFT FOREVER! Oh my goodness, time has flown by so quickly...

The whole school wore casuals clothes instead of uniform because at the end of term 3 we have something called Social Justice Day where the whole school raises money for charities and also orphanages in places like Cambodia and Vietnam. The weather was lovely and I think I got sunburnt on my face from sitting outside for too long without wearing sunscreen T___T This is something I don't miss about Summer!! And it's only Spring here :( Having sensitive skin for me means that I burn easily =[

There are pics of the day on Facebook so for this I'll just upload a OOTD picture :D

Excuse the messy floor, it's all for studying

Accidentally missed my eyes when I took this pic haha...

Cardigan from Portmans, short sleeve top from Temt, denim-inspired leggings from ICE, belt from MCL Fashion, beaded necklace from Gloss, chained necklace and heart bracelet from Diva, earrings from Equip, shoulder bag from Dolly

Sorry I didn't take a picture of my top without my cardigan on =/
But I did find a Facebook photo of me without it

It wasn't a good picture, that's why my face is cropped out LOL
Definitely not tagged on Facebook anyway :P

You may have noticed that my hair wasn't straight in those pics. I waved my hair using a mini hair straightener, otherwise known as a mini flat iron :) It was really simple! I could do a tutorial if anyone is interested.

NOTD - Revlon Sheer Translucide Nail Enamel in 007 Sheer Blossom

That's all for this post. I'm on holidays for two weeks :) Expect more blogging from me!

Haul and First High-end Product Purchase

Hello :) My last few blog posts were about tags and giveaways and so now I'm back to blogging about one of my interests - beauty.

I have no school lessons on a Friday afternoon which is really convenient for me because I get to leave early and have a great end to the school week and have a lovely start to the weekend :D

Today I went shopping after school for about an hour in town by myself (I'm very independent) and managed to purchase a few items. I feel so broke now but I guess I do think that it was worth it hehe. I went to two of the Priceline stores in town today. Pretty sure that the ladies who served me recognised me since I am quite a regular customer. And it isn't hard to not forget me - I always wear uniform when I go. They must wonder why I always go to Priceline :) Haha I really like going there.

Here's a picture of the things that I bought today:

I didn't by the Marie Claire magazine from Priceline, I bought it from a newsagent. I decided to include it in this picture because of the free gift. Not sure if you can see it but it came with a full-size Este
è Lauder Pure Colour Lipgloss in Passion Fruit Shimmer :D

The magazine was only $9.20 and apparently the lipgloss itself retails for $42AUD so this is definitely worth it! Especially if you just want to try it (like me hehe). I never buy high-end products so that's why it's a little exciting for me to finally 'purchase' something high-end at a drugstore price.. or you could say I purchased it for no price ;)

To my Australians readers, you should definitely get your copy of September's Marie Claire! Who doesn't love a freebie ;D

I wouldn't have known about this if
Adeline hadn't mentioned it on her blog so BIG thank you to her for giving all her readers the heads up! I won't be doing a review or any swatches of this product but please do check out Adeline's post: http://through-beauty-eyes.blogspot.com/2010/08/estee-lauder-pure-colour-passion-fruit.html
Now a closer to look at my other products:

St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub
I've read many positive reviews about this product so I decided to give it a go :) I normally use a gentle face wash but now I can use an exfoliating scrub. I will try it tomorrow and tweet about it. Miss Priss Perfume Body Spray with 5 Piece Brush Set
Aww! It's all pink and pretty ^_^ This really attracted me and I just had to buy it, I couldn't resist the pink mini brushes in a little pouch like that! The brushes are really soft and that powder brush is definitely my favourite out of the 5. Can't wait to use them!
I already have the perfume spray and I don't think I'll need a back-up for mine so I really want to give this spray away. It smells really sweet and girlie. Hmm.. does anyone know anything about international parcel/shipping guidelines? I don't know whether aerosol cans are allowed to be flown over. If someone knows, please tell me :) If it's not permitted then I may use it as a little giveaway thing for my Australian readers, since it won't have to go through customs etc.

Australis Mineral Eyeshadow Contouring Brush and Ecotools Bamboo Foundation Brush

I like how they're in really handy zip-lock packaging to store the brush.
I could never find a decent contouring brush but now I have. Australis is an Australian brand and at Priceline they are currently having a 20% off sale for all Australis products.
Ecotools is a well-known brand and so I decided to see whether I'd like it and also because I wanted to do my bit to contribute to the whole 'earth-friendly' thing. This is actually my first foundation brush haha! Many people would be shocked but hey, I usually use my fingers or my sponges to apply it on and it does the job well. I'm going to try using a brush and test whether I am able to evenly apply the foundation and avoid streaky marks, not that I ever had a problem with applying my foundation in the first place :P

BeautySnapz Eyeliner Sealer

When I saw this I had no idea what it was o_O I looked at the picture and suddenly I remembered how my top eyeliner right above my eyelashes would fade. I use a liquid eyeliner which is not waterproof, hence this product would be perfect for me. Inside there is a pack of 24 q-tips with a small amount of liquid inside of them which must be the sealer. Are you not sure how it works? Neither was I. On the back of the box there are instructions and there are also some on the site:
http://www.snaps.com.au/eyeline-sealer.html

Looking forward to using it to see whether it will prevent my liquid eyeliner from fading.

There are many other products similar to this such as eye make-up remover, cuticle conditioner which are on the site.

Beauty Style False Eyelashes
These are very inexpensive falsies, only $3.95 a pair. I could get cheaper pairs but they don't come in such lovely packaging and are not as good as this quality. They have little diamantes stuck on them :) So pretty. When I try them out I will take pictures and upload them onto my blog. They came with glue but I don't think I will be using it because I prefer using glue that I buy separately. The one I'm using now is Duo. For anyone who wears falsies, I recommend that you buy your own glue because the glue that comes with falsies is not the best quality.
Saving the best til last! Haha, not really. If you've been reading all of the above then I thank you so much! I have written a lot xD The last 3 items that I bought today are all from one brand called 'Pupa Milano'. It's a brand from Italy and I have never heard of it before until today. I was walking through the aisles in Priceline and some ticketed prices caught my eyes.. the entire Pupa range was 50%! I only managed to grab 3 items because: 1) There wasn't a lot for me to choose from (a lot was already gone!) 2) I wasn't sure whether I'd have enough money 3) I wasn't sure about the quality of this brand, since it was completely unknown to me. I am sure that they have always been in Priceline but I just never paid attention. I'm glad I did today... One item I want to talk about in particular is the Pupa Compact Eyeshadow
Very unique packaging! I was really curious to see how that little white spongy ball worked when I looked at the tester in-store. The little red plastic that sticks out is the handle for the sponge. The sponge is detachable from the eyeshadow compact and what you do is collect both shades of eyeshadow at the same time with the sponge and apply them to to your eyelid. The purpose is to create dual tones to your eyes with just one single swipe. The one I bought was 04 because I didn't have a green and gold eyeshadow. I think these two colours complement each other really well. Oh and also, they are really pigmented! I did mention that I bought 3 Pupa cosmetics, right? Yep I did but I won't be talking about the other 2 products because.. I'm going to add them to my blog giveaway which I will host when I feel that the time is right :D I want one of you guys to try out some products from this brand because I think it's great for their prices. To see more about Pupa Milano cosmetics, visit: http://pupa.it/ENG/default.aspx In case you didn't catch on, I will have a blog giveaway in the near future =] Either at the end of this year or early next year because right now my main focus is school as I am in my final year D: The end is coming closer so I won't be able to blog often. Lately I have been going okay with updates but it will become less frequent in the coming weeks and months. Just bare with me :] I will continue to use my Twitter daily to keep you guys updated if you wish. EXTREMELY long post I apologise! It has taken me a really long time to write. I hope you all have a lovely weekend :)
xx Jennifer
P.S. Thank you to my 50+ followers, you guys are awesome :D
